Cleaning out the Links, Part V

Its time to clean out the links, lets get to them.

-Here are some exciting facts about the college football pre-season top-25 teams. The facts about LSU was interesting, who knew that Auburn and Clemson were connected and Smokey from Tennessee needs to be shot, Lassie style. Yeah, I said it, let PETA come after me, I don’t care: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/46610-strange-but-true-things-you-may-not-know-about-college-footballs-top-25

-Here’s a list of AskMen’s top-10 fights. Fight #9 made me a fan of mixed martial arts so I think it should be higher. #8 reminded me of why I liked boxing. Actually, #4 made me like MMA in the beginning, #9 just inspired me to follow it further. Seriously, BJ Penn vs. Hughes II is my favorite fight ever: http://www.askmen.com/top_10/sports/top-10-fights.html

The clip above always gives me a laugh.

-Since the NFL season started last week, I think back to the crappiness that was the Miami Dolphins, going 1-15. However, they weren’t the worst team ever. Here’s an article discussing some of the worst teams in history: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=sando_mike&id=3159938&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab4pos2

-I saw that 1996 Jets team play and my goodness, were they awful.

Here’s a list of the 10 Hottest ESPN News Reporters. I like how they use “News Reporters.” Anyway, our favorite Erin Andrews is of course on the list and they show love to Bonnie Bernstein, who is hotter than Andrews, yeah, I said it!

Also, props for including Molly Qerim. She does reporting for MMA Live on ESPN.

Yeah, that’s what I thought! Enjoy: http://www.uncoached.com/2008/09/11/the-10-hottest-espn-news-reporters/

-Here’s a list of the top-10 fight scenes ever. Number #2 was solid, but #1 below was mind-changing for me. I remember when I first saw this movie in high school and was about to go to college. The two sequels had more plot holes than swiss cheese, but the first movie was amazing: http://fhmonline.com/Site/Blog/Default.aspx?ID=36304&categoryid=2116

-Here’s a quiz of finishing holds for wrestlers. I got nine out of 12 and actually pissed about it. See if you can do better: http://www.mentalfloss.com/quiz/quiz.php?q=420&p=1

-With K-Rod about to break the single-season saves record, here’s Jim Caple’s interesting spin on the importance of closers: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=caple/080805&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab1pos1

-Science rocks, even though I suck at it. Here are 10 amazing Physics Videos: http://blog.wired.com/wiredscience/2008/09/top-10-amazing.html

I’ve danced to worse at parties.

That was awesome…

#3 was the MMA fight that really got me hooked into UFC, and #5 is the best boxing match I've ever seen. I can't wait for the "Irish" Micky Ward movie to come out (with Mark Wahlberg playing Micky).
